Privacy Policy
GridPilot helps energy developers prepare interconnection request packets. We collect only what the product needs, we do not sell personal information, and your project documents remain yours.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, organization name, and a password hash (or your Google account email and name if you sign in with Google).
- Project data — documents you upload (leases, technical workbooks, drawings, boundary files) and the intake data extracted from them.
- Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and reliability.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: extracting intake data, validating filings, and generating submission packets from your documents.
- To operate accounts, billing, and support.
- To secure and improve the service.
Documents you upload are processed by our AI provider solely to perform extraction and analysis you request. They are not used to train models and are not shared with other customers.
3. Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use these only to create and identify your account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that host and operate the product (cloud hosting, file storage, AI processing), each bound by confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
5. Retention & deletion
Account and project data are retained while your account is active. Email info@gridpilotai.co to request export or deletion of your data; we complete deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are stored as salted bcrypt hashes. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
7. Children
GridPilot is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced by email.
